HOW MUCH IT COSTS?

Italian and EU students

Tuition fees range from 156 to 3,985 € per year according to family income.

Non-EU students

Tuition fees range from 400 to 4,500 € per year according to the country of origin. (Note: non-EU students can request that tuition fees are calculated according to their family income).

HOW THE TUITION FEE IS CALCULATED?

University fees are based on a Flat Rate. Tuition fees include a flat fee (or fixed / first installment, 156 €) and a variable fee (all-inclusive fee). The amount of the variable fee for Italian, EU and non-EU students is calculated differently, please see below for details. Payments are splitted in three installments. Please see the announcement for precise details.

Please find below a brief description of how tuition fees for Italian, EU and non-EU students are calculated.

 

Italian and EU students

All-inclusive-fee calculated according to the family income, students must to take into account the fee area (Biology and Biotechnology is in area N°3, Table at page 2, document). Fee will be determined according to the bracket in Table A3 (page 11, please take into account the green column) based to the family income (ISEE). Students who choose this method of calculation will need to pay: a fixed registration fee (156 €), 1st installment (30% of the amount determined according to your ISEE and related to the bracket in Table A3), 2nd installment (the remaining part of the amount determined according to your ISEE and related to the bracket in Table A3).

 

Non-EU students

Tuition fees for non-EU students can be calculated according one of the two methods described in the announcement (see this page):

a. fee calculated according to the country of origin, the amount of the tuition fee depends on the classification of home-countries in brackets. The classification is proposed by the World Bank. Fees will include a fixed registration fee (156 €) + 2 installments. The cost of the two installments is equal and depends on the country of origin (see Table B of the announcement).

b. all-inclusive-fee calculated according to the family income, students must to take into account the fee area (Biology and Biotechnology is in area N°3, Table at page 2 of the announcement). Fee will be determined according to the bracket in Table A3 (page 11, please take into account the green column) based to the family income (ISEE). Students who choose this method of calculation will need to pay: a fixed registration fee (156 €), 1st installment (30% of the amount determined according to ISEE and related to the bracket in Table A3), 2nd installment (the remaining part of the amount determined according to ISEE and related to the bracket in Table A3).

EXEMPTIONS AND REIMBURSEMENTS

Exemptions and reimbursement for either the fixed fee or all-inclusive-fee are possible. For precise details please see section 3 “EXEMPTIONS AND REIMBURSEMENTS” of the tuition fee announcement.
